IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR GHANA PASSPORT APPLICANTS IN NEW ZEALAND
1. The Ghana biometric passport application process is now online and can be found here. Applicants are to submit the online application with all required documents, book a calendar appointment and visit the nearest biometric station for their data capture. 2. When completing the online passport application form, where 'addresses and references in Australia' are requested, applicants should read it as 'addresses and references in New Zealand'. 3. The closest biometric station for NZ applicants is located at the Ghana High Commission in Canberra, Australia. Regrettably, the High Commission has no intentions of deploying the biometric equipment to different countries or cities in the area to offer this service to applicants. 4. Instead of NZ applicants travelling to the biometric station in Canberra, they have the option to coordinate (through leaders of the Ghanaian community) for the biometric equipment and a consular officer to come to them at applicants own cost. This option is voluntary and is subject to the discretion of the officials at the Ghana Mission in Canberra, Australia. 5. If you have an interest in participating in the community-driven coordination for biometric data collection, please contact us so we can connect you with the leaders of this initiative. |
